to remove the unstability of our education system the school level system should be improved by removing all state boards by 1 single board by central govt which will be run by mhrd for class 10 and 12

Our universities and colleges manufacture production of stressed, depressed and frustrated students who ultimately hang themselves to get rid of these stigma which they had got from Indian education system .

instead of surveying history of education, Indian H.R.D authority should go and look at the schools and universities and should ask to a student that weather he or she is really happy by whatever he or she is studying. educating a mind without educating a heart is not an education at all.
literacy rate is just a number, if your kid is going to a school or university he is educated but what about those skills.
let me take an example of engineering students here in India, they are studying engineering but if you give them a generator or a motor or a engine they ain't able to assemble it. but if you give it to a technician or a repair shop guy he will assemble it.
so what about those bucks you parents paid for????? what about your kids skills. our education system is full of knowledge but lack of skills. A school or an university should be made for raising the lost talent of a student not for mugging up the things. if you universities and schools teach a student according to their talent automatically our country will bloom for a better future and happy generation.

Indian education is shit. It appears we are teaching what we have been told to teach by someone. The course content should be reviewed every year. All the institutes should be rated by students and this should be published on a national education website. I went to study civil engineering and found myself also learning organic chemistry, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering etc. complete waste of time, money and effort.Possibly I went to study in the worst education institute in India namely Regional Engineering College, Durgapur. Now named National institute of technology. :-( .

More than ever education must deliver the following
    1. Creative, fun, interesting, think-outside-the-box, and practicality with no waste of time on wasteful courses. With internet we can find any information quite fast and accurate.
    2. Foster individual interest, skill, and passion not one size fit all which leaves majority of students bored and lost.
    3. Foster collaboration versus competition. Students learn and support from each other in team environment.
    4. Theory must follows by hand-on or real project in real world as much as possible. Learn by doing not taking exams.
    5. Address social needs in areas of energy, ethics, anti-monopoly, counter giant corporations controlling global economy and our lives, poverty, organic farming, income inequality, environment, unjust, conflicts, logistics, family values and time, happiness, peace, fun, equal distribution of wealth and resources, and humane
    6. Change negative social values such as medical and engineering are top and drivers of economy, in fact small businesses and entrepreneurs are equally important not less valuable and respect.
    7. Free, high quality, or/and low cost education access to all.

sab log rat race me lage hue hai aur isme sab log achchi companies me job pana chahta hai,aur kuch log apni weakness ko bhi strength bana kar aage badh jate hai.talented log apne talent se aage nikalte jaa rahe hai.aur ye education system wahi k wahi hai.

  • Syed Mubashir Mohiuddin

first i would like to thank udaan ngo for this survey of indian education system.
as i have seen in the video that all developed countries are still wanted to develop their education system but we still have the same 1960's education system.
so, i think we only can change this by giving the understanding of all subjects.
as we use to teach the children a for apple and b for ball. we exactly need this formula to teach science, social, maths, then only it can be possible to achieve our goal.
and at the other hand now, the world is operated by gadgets. As we know very well that mobile phone kills the distance, grinder kills the chakki, washing machine kills the dhobi ghat.
so, the time is now to give more importance to the computer education. the perfect basics of computers in all schools colleges universities. LEARN COMPUTERS FOR LEARNING ANYTHING.

I don't know how the education system is put together in India but here in America, currently right now, we have Department of Education, which is a superfluous strata (extra level of something that isn't needed) of government that controls what goes into kids' minds. Sadly, in America, the education system is designed to put students into debt so that the government and lending institutions can keep making money. I know because I have friends who are still paying off their student debt and it's been over 10 years! And a lot of those degrees are useless. Like, what kind of job are you going to get with a political science degree (besides teaching political science)?

There are, however, some types of education that are required to get a specific job. My situation, for example, requires a certificate in order to be hired for the job, which is Histology (skin cells). But I'm just going to a cheap junior college. Private schools are a rip-off, too.

I think the school systems in India, America... everywhere, should teach kids how to manage their own money, how to not go into debt, how to look at what the market in the country is and choose a job that will fit that market so that they can avoid getting useless degrees, like so many people I know. But I don't see that happening unless education is brought to the local and private sector. That would force schools to be competitive, competing for the parents' money.

Keep in mind, the government doesn't like the general public to be educated. The government likes the masses to be ignorant because ignorant people are easy to influence and control through propaganda, ideology and false promises.

The basic of education starts with the “SCHOOL SLATE” and a “SLATE PENCIL” and now it reaches the mass spectrum in the name of “INTERNET”. Every educated person in India is supposed to meet the two extremes. As we don’t wanna roll back, let’s keep an eye on the emerging trends in the “INTERNET” in education.
