Quick someone give us a Ben-unendo count!
who puts lime in jerk chicken lol
Please can someone make a compilation of innuendos that were said in this video and in other videos!!😂😂😂
Made this for the tea tonight and turned out so good! Rice is amazing and chicken looks scarily burnt when you take it out but tastes amazingggg. Will definitely make again soon and highly recommend!
How clever guys! In a duel cooking session with me and my guy, we followed your instructions. We successfully made a huge mess and the wonderful kitchen fragrance! The chicken was worth fighting over. Didn't get the rice just right to begin with but my husband is a handyman so he fixed it. With this recipe, we can only get better!
Man I got _so_ confused when Ben put the chicken out of the pan and in the pot and then put the rice and peas in the pan and _not_ in a pot to cook. Creative liscence is a marvelous thing, but my jamaican roots are yelling "thats...thats not how you do it at all..."
"And if you could smell this, you'd be Jerking too!" Can't believe you missed it lads.
Where does ben get his information from? jerk1dʒəːk/Submitnounnoun: jerk; plural noun: jerks1.a quick, sharp, sudden movement."he gave a sudden jerk of his head"synonyms: yank, tug, pull, wrench, snatch, heave, drag, tweak, twitch Morea spasmodic muscular twitch.WEIGHTLIFTINGthe raising of a barbell above the head from shoulder level by an abrupt straightening of the arms and legs, typically as the second part of a clean and jerk.synonyms: yank, tug, pull, wrench, snatch, heave, drag, tweak, twitch"she gave the reins a jerk"
Went out and got all the ingredients for this today, currently marinating. Buzzing for dinner tonight !
on point !!
Hey guys! This looked amazing, so I tried it out for dinner tonight and the chicken was amazing, but I had some trouble with the rice! I'm not sure if I used the wrong rice, but when I took the chicken out after 40 minutes the rice was still crunchy... I ended up having to cook it kind of like risotto by cranking up the temp in the oven until the liquid was bubbling and adding more and more chicken broth until it was absorbed and the rice was soft (like 25-30 minutes later). I used long grain white rice, is that wrong? I would love to know because it tasted incredible!
don't get me wrong i love you guys but the definition Ben gave for "jerk" is not correct. I'm Jamaican I should know.
Ben, can you please help jerk my meat, I do enjoy doing it myself, but I thought you may get a good taste out of it
They didn't even wash the chicken 🤢🤢
Authentic rice and pea is made with gungo peas also known as pigeon peas.... this sometimes gets substitited with red kidney beans
In some of the bigger tesco stores they sell tinned and dried gungo peas
I get my chicken from Nan-do-s. soz
Nandos is better.
shouldn't you have poked the holes before massaging the meat?
I mean is it really jerk chicken if its not cooked in a jerk pan?
"When you jerk something- when it comes to your meat..." ~Ben Ebrell 2k17
Ben...I know you got that meaning from Wikipedia, but I don't believe that's factual at all. To jerk meat doesn't mean to poke holes in there at all. Since "to barbecue" is to roast over an open flame, Jerk is a method of barbecuing. The same principle of cooking over open flames applies, difference being that the meat is marinated in jerk seasoning.
Feels strange hearing them say beans instead of pea's
Wow that looks amazing, thanks for the tip on alternative way to making rice and peas
Technically this isn't a traditional jerk marinade due to the absence of scotch bonnet pepper or as my mom calls then country peppers
Stick to your pig 🐷 Bacon and sausage you don't know shit about Caribbean cuisine.
Just tried this tonight. The chicken was good but the rice was a revelation, delicious!
Can imagine the "poker" is a demon in the bedroom.
Where's ben japanese Santoku knife?? and how did you guys keep the knife sharp????
I jerked off while watching this

the chicken tail aka chicken butt is delisssh don't waste it :((( we usually roast it
damn i feel hungry now
Ben is one fast penetrator.... #smirk
Olives 4 chicken thighs hot piri piri chips and spicy rice please
YOUR SUCH JERK MEANIES'qnqnnq
boil in coke with ginger and garlic
If you do do this on the BBQ grill keep the extra bits of fat you cut away and use it to oil the grill. Because you don't want to cook this too quickly on a BBQ the coals shouldn't be too hot and won't burn the chicken fat. Adds a bit more to the smoky taste from the BBQ itself and if you use a gas BBQ then it also adds a level up there as well.
Oooh please do some Nigerian or West African food like Jollof Rice, eba, Egusi. I'd be happy with anything x
Nice try, but that's NOT authentic Jamaican jerk chicken with rice and peas darling!
When I clicked onto to this I was thinking no way a white man can .......
Made this today. Amazing recipe, thanks for the video.
If the people in this video were Caribbean then I would follow this recipe
in the Americas most beans are called peas
e.g. black eyed peas
The way chicken was placed on top of rice while cooking in the oven is the best part , all the steam, the flavours from chicken to rice and then from rice to chicken makes an amazing delicious taste, loved this method .
Well in El Salvador, and i think other Central America countries we have equal parts of rice and beans, and we call it "casamiento" which translates to marriage
alystar1997 in Argentina we called Matrimonio to one morcilla (blood sausage) and one chorizo (sausage).
alystar1997 Gallo pinto
not a good enough reason to use the word penetrate.....
I'm very interested in that rice. Sounds yummilicious!
My guy was like "We have already had this conversation"
I love the chicken my nan dos! I mean does*
Omg love this ❤️❤️❤️
Pea is considered as vegetable (as they are green) as it has higher fiber contain than starch or sugar. In bean or nut, are considered as grain cause of their high starch and sugar content
You should do a tutorial for raspberry vinegar
Barry's face at 7:36, utterly priceless!!
It might be amazing jerk chicken but nothing beats classic Jamaican jerk chicken.
All credibility was lost when you said "rice and beans" at the start.
Curry cause I am indian
Yo Sorted! Please come to South Africa. K cool, thanks, bye!
I dont poke my meat with a skewer when I jerk it.
Hey guys could you try doing tea week? I would be interested in tasting any tea flavored ice cream and pastry❤️
Is it me or does Jamie have the arms of a new born baby? Seriously they're like a hairless cat. He needs to be an arm model for nair.
That's how my mother makes it because she Jamaican
Pizza week pls
Learned a supersupersuper simple way of cooking chicken from a German friend, but the recipe is actually from Hungary? Put chicken pieces (thighs are the best) with garlic slices, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, oven baked. SOOOOO delicious tastes like truffle haha... :P..
So this has been bothering me for a bit now, but the narration from Mike at the end with the suggested videos seems to be a little off? It seems like you've got the videos you actually put in those slots backwards, and sometimes the videos you put in those slots don't seem to correspond at all to how you've got them labeled. The video that should be on the left here, for example, SHOULD be the chicken Q&A video rather than the chicken parm video that you've got on the right (because somehow they've been put in backwards?). And I think it would make more sense if the "chef's special/one of our favorites" videos weren't something really recent, but maybe something that dates back to another season or one of the other series or a recipe that might be related to the current one (whether by protein or culture or useful tips)--or, possibly, the mystery box that started this week's theme. I don't know what exactly makes you decide what goes where, or if some kind of algorithm on YouTube forces the way the videos show up on the screen, but it's made your intent a little confusing.(Other than that, I LOVED the video. This looks like the perfect weekday recipe. Super quick and easy, I can't wait to try it!)Edit: I'm realizing that the apple cake video might be up as the suggested video because it was sponsored/an ad, so I'm understanding the choice there, now. But still--the backwards slots!
Damn Ben working those breast as you jerk it 🤣🤣🤣
So is the next Ultimate Battle gonna be a " Jerk Off" ???
I was watching old Sorted videos when Jaime didn't have a beard and I realized that if Jaime ever shaves his iconic beard...I don't know what I'd do.
I've been binge watching this awesome channel for weeks.. do soups!!!!!!!!! i challenge ben if he can keep up with his inuendo lol😏😏😏
Jerk Chicken without the scotch bonnet? While you're at it make some Guinness Punch without Guinness.
I cant stop thinking about you! I bet your touch will drive me crazy!!
Ooohh no🤦🏾♂️. I can already feel the rage burning out of all Jamaicans everywhere 😂
Finally White people seasoning their chicken
Kendrick Lamar Maad City Remix from vine
I love having crispy, fried chicken that my dad makes with roast chicken leftovers (roast chicken made delicious simply with a lemon).
I like to make my jerk marinade from scratch. It enables me to tailor the level of spice for certain people in my family. Though I have never cooked a chicken the same way as you guys have done in this video, I still believe in using fresh lemon juice to wash the chicken with first. Not only does add flavour, which you made up for using the lime zest, it also kills any bad bacteria which could make it through the cooking process. I say could, and the chances of it happening are minuscule, but you read about food poisoning from incorrectly prepared chicken and this extra step can minimise that.Washing a chicken in lemon juice is a practice that most Jamaican people, and people with Jamaican heritage, I know do. I think it is partly based on fact, for the reasons on why to do it, but also culturally ingrained from parent to child. I know it was for me.
When the white British guys try to make Caribbean food
Its code word because when u with a hot gyal you flick her bean and man cant be seen licking fuck out a bean so it's rice n pea.
Did not understand. Created maze. Teenagers jerking in it. Gfy Ben
Wow 😂😂this is just hilarious 😂😂 ATTENTION: white people just stop this 😂😂😂😂😂
GET A REAL JAMAICAN TO MAKE JERK CHICKEN! REAL JERK CHICKEN IS DONE IN A BARBECUE BARREL THING!!
Who JERKed to this?
This ain't no damn jerk 😂
Omg so hungry
In Saudi Arabia we call this way of cooking rice and chicken (Mandi) , it's very popular and delicious dish 💛
Roasted chicken thighs with garlic gloves, onions, carrots, potatoes. Sometimes with Seven Spice.
"Give your meat a good ol rub. Jerk chicken, jerk it. Heh heh yeah boy"
Its f******* raw
So, lots of angry Jamaicans in the comments. I get it's not washed, there was lime and holes were prodded and those things are not traditional. But no one has really said what is traditional in comparison, what makes a Jamaican jerk chicken? Just the spices?. Looks pretty yum at the end.
Ilana Signal one of the things that would make authentic jerk is the chicken should be smoked with pimento wood to impart some flavour. There's really no poking holes but it makes sense to get the marinade into the meat I guess
It will be hard but try levelling up currywurst
"Is it the kind that your Nan-dos" *wink* *wink* LMAO
We will give you great recipe for jerk marinade: take jerk seasoning ... <facepalm>
It's not a SORTED video util Jamie has to leave the kitchen because the Benuendos are getting out of hand. Kinda amazed the boys manage to get anything done, never mind posting yumy looking recipes 3/4 times a week
Looks Great! I will try this.
