It wouldn't have been that hard to do it by hand if you had the right tools. A bandsaw, drill press, hacksaw, spray adhesive, and the paper you drew the design on would be about all you can oils need, besides the sand paper.

Reading the comments I don´t understand why people are so pi**ed off by the fact that the CNC is used.
Looking at the video thumbnail it is clear that this masterpiece is not made from a toilet paper roll and a bit of glue, so what did you expect?
Enjoy the guys creativity and stop bitching. The smooth voice of this guy really could calm you down if you weren´t so busy hating.
And who cares if he bought the CNC or they sent it to him. The design and idea is the important thing. You can own all the expensive tools you want, but you won´t get great results without the imagination and creativity this guy has.

Great video Matt! Thanks for posting :)

Inkscape is fab. You need a laser cutter.

There is a little known but bizarre trick to cutting acrylic with a scroll saw (AKA jigsaw, but not the jigsaws made by the likes of Black and Decker) ; stick a layer of paper with glues stick to either side, you can print the cut lines on the paper first. The acrylic will now cut without sticking to the scroll saw teeth. Somehow the paper stops the friction melting the plastic.

Hey! I'm currently working on making my own version of this! Two quick questions...

Where did you go to get those walnut pieces, did you cut and plane it, get that size online, etc...

What RGB LEDs did you use? They seem very very bright and seem to shine through your project much more fully than mine, but maybe that's partially your videography skills. Either way, very cool stuff! This definitely has been one of my favorite projects from you. I have access to several CNCs so I have no excuse not to get this thing looking fantastic my second go at it, and I already have many ideas for variations or offshoots of this project, like alternating cuts of different woods and gluing them together. With a CNC that can be done quite neatly.

Anyway, thanks for being one of the highest quality content producers in the YouTube DIY community and cheers!

Another option would be a laser cutter. Some cities have maker spaces or maker groups that you can find access to such equipment through. Even Omaha Nebraska has a public makerspace so I suggest asking around in your area!

Short English translate of my comment:
It's very primitive construction of headphone stand taking into account high-technology instruments that you own.
