I watched a little bit of one of his other videos and thought he was an ass and that his videos would be a waste of time. Watched this video to see if Japan experience had changed him, discovered that he has developed some interesting concepts about Japan and once you seperate the wheat from the chaff I can learn some things about Japan from his videos. Although I have to take him in small doses. He is verbose and could learn something about discourse from Kawabata Yusanaries "Palm of the Hand Stories" .

I'm American, not that it means much. But if I could subacribe twice I would. I find your vlogs and interesting places you go to in Japan awesome to watch.

It has always been my dream, along with my friend, to go to Japan or even live there for a bit. If I ever do go I'd be glad to visit you.

Keep up the good funny work.

    Cheers or something.

The UK and America prefer outdated vending machines... there is alwaus the chance to save them money or have another person awarded two snacks not one.

  • Angryboy

Got to say you hit the nail on the head with the vending machine analogy.

    Two experiences from University:
First was a friend trying to buying a bottle of coke from a vending machine. He was over the moon about it giving him his change because "it has never done that in the past 5 years I've used it"... only to realise it didn't actually give him his drink.
Second was another friend using a coffee vending machine. Takes the cup, puts it in the machine. Presses button for drink. Cup gets about half filled then falls over and spills all over the floor in front of her. We couldn't stop laughing.

People must remember, because it's important, that before the advent of the mobile phone people were quiet on public transport (unless speaking to a companion) & didn't sit there ignoring others when eating out chatting away or texting on mobile phones.

The train part reminded me of when I was on holiday in Australia (I'm English). I was on a tour bus driving around Rottnest Island. It was the first and maybe only time I would ever be there in my life so I wanted to enjoy myself, but a woman sat behind me was talking so loudly on her mobile the rest of the bus couldn't hear wtf the tour guide was saying. I'm really shy but I was so mad at her inconsiderateness I turned round and told her that nobody could hear. Then she was like "oh I've got to go, a girl in front of me said I'm too loud" or some shit. Dunno if she was being sarcastic or not but I was pissed. I think she was Australian.

The reason why Japs are so collectively oriented socially, is because it's in their biology. Mongoloids have lesser developed social skills, resulting in a more primitive, yet coherent social hierarchy. The coherence obviously comes from their intelligence. Which is high just
like in Caucasoids. They see things a little black and white, which is not necessarily bad.

There's a little f*cker who messed up the French translation.
I don't really know how to load previous translations then review them so I'll just make one again from scratch. Hopefully the video is not very long.

Yeah, I do expect a pat on the back (eventhough I'll probably never get it and I know it, that's fine) !

edit : after a few -hmm- hours, it's ok, I think the translation is A-OK.
I based it on Nopelkya's work.

Oh. Great vid btw, mate :)

Oh for the love of ... I don't even know who, I know I submitted two translations but one of those is ... urgh .... I just don't know how to delete it, OK ?!

BUT the latest one is peerless (as long as peerless means "meh good enough") !
Don't tell me I overworked myself for 5 HOURS (I was drinking beer tho cause I'm an edgy kid) for nuthin' ??!

  • Da'Mon - The World's Worst Rapper // Magician

I recently made my first trip and I was there only 8 days, but I totally left my heart there. We were over in Shinjuku where things were a little on the colder side for social behavior, everybody wore black and had straight faces ... but outside of that we loved the people, the food, and the culture. Being humble is not something held dear in the US, but I do wish that would change. Seeing signs in the park asking people to get off their cell phones and not disturb others was very welcomed. At parks here people play their bluetooth speakers as loud as they can with no regard for others. The train rides were also nice, very quiet. I would like to visit for an extended period, but not sure my Western love of space would let me live there in a small space with my family.
