Las Vegas underground city

  • Exploring Las Vegas under ground city - found golf carts and sex toys. Exploring the tunnels under Las Vegas strip, Mole people.

Las Vegas has about 600 miles of flood channels going through the Las Vegas valley, 2 or 3 or them pass directly beneath the strip on Las Vegas Blvd and its casinos. The tunnels underneath act as a makeshift home to about 500 people.

The city of Las Vegas installed the flood channels around 1980's and a-lot of it's residents have jobs while others have ran out of luck with nowhere else to go.

Today we decided to go explore them and we were surprised at the amount of stuff people have down there and how they live. We met "Irish", he gave us his blessing and a few pointers on what tunnels to take. The tunnels were flowing with water that reached above our ankles. We passed directly below the I-15 and the Caesar's palace and ended up on the other side of the Las Vegas BLVD Strip.

If you decide to visit this location make sure you stay safe, Irish warned us that many gangs like to hang out down in the tunnels and some people end up getting hurt or "carried away"

🔷️ help me fund some trips:

Does the city go through and clear out these tunnels from time to time? Not to be harsh for the people who are trying to survive, but if the tunnels get blocked like that, there could be flooding?

    • John Everett

Maybe something good will come out of it for some of the people living there... I would rather be in jail than try to survive down there. Thanks for posting it.

What are you saying:  You live in the tunnels?  I know it can be hard to adapt; just like anything.  Try entering prison as a rookie while predators are all around saying "fresh meat".  I am sure it can't be worse than prison is my point.

Great video sir! Would love to see another video focused on Irish. He seems like a real sweetheart who took to you quickly, and you would have the perfect non-judgmental style to really find out how such a person came to be where he is. It would also be interesting to hear how his move into the tunnels went down and what all dangers he has faced there.

Love your style, as you document interesting things with a lot of humanity and get more feedback as a result!!!

    • nadia mccall
      nadia mccall 5 months ago

NO I saw it, you already have it if not better. Otherwise I would never have watched it the whole way through, because there's plenty of stuff to watch online about Vegas. Good narrating, you weren't pretentious or holier-than-thou, created a great story line that left me wanting to know way more about the people you did find. Seriously, can't think of a way to make it better except if you find someone who lives there full time.....which I bet you could. The ones I knew are most likely dead, but please do more. One thing: how the hell were you not worried about being shot or attacked? I would do this kind of thing except for that.

Great video. I always wondered where those tunnels exited to the strip. It was bizarre seeing that you came out right by Harrah's but it makes sense now. There are always lots of beggars and homeless people in front of that area. I first learned about those tunnels when the book Beneath the neon came out. If you go back down you might want to get some pepper spray or something anything can happen down in those tunnels.
