€199 is way too expensive. You're better off just buying a garbage can from target and making your own pc case.

no, the side with the bracket is the rear of the fan, that fan bracket is on the underside so therefor is an intake

    • ShadowOfDeath24
      ShadowOfDeath24 6 months ago

wrong its exhaust...the sode with the bracket is the side air will flow from. the side with just the blades is the side that sucks and blows towards the bracket side (the side the fan mounts to that has the wires)

That fan on top should be facing down. Your GPU and PSU are blowing down and you are sucking that hot air and cooling the CPU with it? Their fans and the top one are sucking against each other and that's stupid. I know that hot air raises but with a fan that big it will not be hard at all to overcome natural convection and cool better your whole system and get a lot less dust accumulation on the internal components.

Is the case metal? It has been fun watching people modify plastic trash cans but metal is much more appealing, aesthetically and thermally. I am not sure about acoustically. I think something like a Mac pro case, they are using thick/heavy metal. My concern is finding a riser cable for the graphics card, that actually works, reliably or even at all. Huge frustration, on that one. If anyone can recommend one that works reliably, it would be good to hear. I have a lot of stalled projects that were killed off because I couldn't find a riser cable that worked reliably with powerful graphics cards.

I like the exterior much more than the Mac Pro but the internal design of the Mac Pro is BEAUTIFUL. Seriously look at a tear down of it. It's so well done. I never wanted an Apple product, ever. Except for that trashcan. Industrial design wise, in the interior, it's superb. I suppose this with an AMD APU, would be a nice middle ground. Nice job!

  • Leone Furlan

    really cool case!
But,very weird, they could have improved the cooling by 70% with adding mesh - ed parts to the middle of can,and on this top/cover,the air would flow freely then, and gpu would get fresh clean air from outside...

    • Maarten Rietveld
      Maarten Rietveld Year ago

The cooling would be improved but the case would then not add the extra value of being able to be super quiet. This case makes the components more quiet then they are themselves.
One central intake on the top with a dust filter is also a way to gaurantee easy and low maintenance.

  • Mason Vanderpool
    Mason Vanderpool Year ago +1

    This case is so flawed.

    Here are my suggestions.

    1) The case should be perforated to let the system breathe.

    2) The case needs to be made of metal.

    3) The GPU needs to be mounted on the other side of the motherboard.

    4) The top needs to be either perforated or mesh.

This case is total shit when you look at the possibilities.
Also, the price is outrageous. I can guarantee that this was not some kind of engineering feat and the manufacturers are simply price gouging because there aren't cases like this elsewhere.

+BottleNext well, however it is,(as seen in the comments) i think you have a pretty substantial audience for your product!!! Ppl will buy it for sure, even more if the thermals are good as you say! And youre 100% right about its silly to comment on something youre not informed enough, but, this is the ytb,and its wors section, lowest of the low: ytb comment section!!! Dont expect anything less but idiotic opinions from pire idiots (myself included)! Thats just the way it is!
P.S.but,do you know how coolermaster did their best-selling ever case (cm5 or something)? They did cm4,and before producing cm5 they checked this kind of comments and users opinions, then upgraded all the things ppl complained about on the cm4,and voila, their best ever case was made...

    • BottleNext
      BottleNext Year ago

      @Mason Vanderpool

Thank you for your opinion. Entropy is designed so that it can be really quiet for when you are studying or hanging out on YouTube commenting on how shit things are without being really informed. You can adjust the top lid and bottom feet so that even high powered systems can be cooled properly.

      1) If it was perforated it wouldn't look good and make more noise.
      2) Metal is a group of materials which include Iron. Steel is a mixture of iron and carbon that is much stronger and doesn't rust as fast as iron would.
You could call it Carbon Reinforced Iron or "CRI" in made up marketing terms.

      3) It couldn't be this small if the gpu was finstalled behind the motherboard
      4) The top will be perforated after you take of the top lid. (seen in latest render video on our channel)

      5) The price is this like this because its made in the Netherlands and the minimum wage is really high here. 10 dollars an hour +60% insurance and other costs. Also making the custom tools to make a perfect outer shell are 32% of what we are trying to raise.

You did actually help me improve my communication; that's why we've took the time to answer all your concerns.

    • Leone Furlan
      Leone Furlan Year ago

SAME,jast adding mesh parts would improve airflow & temp by 100%!
But you say gpu on other side of mobo, where would you place the psu then??? Bcs the psu is the biggest space-taker,so they placed it in bigest compartment (behind mobo)

      1. The reason why its upvoted is because its funny to call it a trash can. But what is not funny is to moan about a pricetag.
      2. Did I ask Waj to change the settings so that the latest messages shows on top instead of yours? No... I respect freedom of speech.
      3. I know it looks like a trashcan. I never claimed it didn't
      4. look the price on the White Knight Pi from Japan and the price of the dead Dune Case.
I didn't expect you to remove it since being the top comment must mean a lot to you.
I'm just so deticaded to this project that i'll try anything to make it happen.

      3. 83% of people voted that your case looks like a trashcan
      https://imgur.com/UJtQ45t
      4. The only other result wasn't that much better.
      5. Welcome to the internet, as case manufacturers I would expect you to understand our culture better.
      6. I'm only trying to be unbiased since everyone called the Mac Pro a trash can

    • Maarten Rietveld
      Maarten Rietveld Year ago

      BottleNext here on different account.
1 Its not the same shape so that mould is useless
2 that Trashcan is only made out of two pieces which are only held together by gravity
3 that product is 10 years old so ofcourse the price had more time to drop
4 minimum wage in the netherlands is 11$ an hour
5 there are many trashcans more expensive then 160$
6 the price might seem excessive but its not

Please delete your comment as it can be harmfull to the campaign.
Its the first thing people see now even though the most comments are positive or worried about termals.
