The black monkey on the left can speak
Whoopi I love your work - Colbert and his joke was brilliant ...but America does need to reign in a few 'freedom of speech' exploiters. There is NOTHING "fair and balanced" about allowing your KKK to continue to exist without forcing science based education on them. There's nothing fair and balanced about your country toleratiing ignorance and private militia groups to exist. But Colbert was bang on target.
Whoopi is wise 🙌 Firing people is totally about power
Herb Welch wish someone would fire HER
For the last time, Trump never said "I grab 'em by the pussy". He's the shittiest candidate I've ever voted for, but he didn't say that. call him on the stuff he HAS actually done--there's plenty.
Title of vid is misleading. I thought Mr. Colbert was on the show.
this people are stupid, and move aren't the Democrats the one's talking about moving to Canada. .
I remember Jed being upset about Maryl Streeps Oscar speech and saying it was not the place for political statements. Pickers can't be choosers Jed. Free speech is allowed everywhere and you don't get to say when it's appropriate and when it's not.
IdahoPatty no one watches the oscars anymore...especially after the last fiasco
good for you Colbert !!!
Trump and his supporters support terrorists............Putin, Saudi and Turkish governments
"The View" is hardly any different from Colbert's show. Just a different title, and female turds instead of male.
Seriously......I think people forget if he is #1 in the ratings, A LOT of people find it FUNNY! 😂🤣😂🤣
idgi, why are comedians held to such high standards that the president is not even held to?
Trump supporters. After they cannot defend Trump against late night show hosts in comment, they are firing people because they still want to deny their crumbling reality and shaken worldview. Just like Trump.
Lol no surprise coming from the cunts who laughed at the dude who had his penis sliced off and thrown into a garbage disposal. Gender relations are the lowest they've ever been and you sows helped it get here.
Imagine if this joke would have been said about Obama....whew the double standard is amazing with these Libs
do not apologize
- of course the Jew will agree with Colbert.
There aren't enough canker sores in existence that I wish upon these women (who aren't Jedediah).
It is a joke she says? only when it isn't a democrat. She is bias
So NOW Joy is for freedom of speech? When Berkeley shut down Milo's speech, she was all for it because he made a mean joke about Leslie Jones. What a hypocrite
Donald Trump can´t stand jokes about him. He sued Bill Maher when he compared him to a gorilla. If Americans start firing journalist and comedians just because they make fun of the president, they will create a dictator similar to Chung Jun or Maduro.
Only in America people hold comedians and late night talkshow hosts to a higher standard than the f*cking president.
Trump is now the victim of his own game. We forget his latest scandal the next day when he creates a new one. This thing about Colbert...hey, what was that? Trump fired Comey? What were you saying about Colbert?
What is the definition of hate speech????? Seems to me there is a double standard!!!!!
Every single idiot who voted for 45 should be shot out in space, you are no longer needed in the United Sates.
Someone needs to remind Trump... Dude, this isn't the Apprentice, it's the Presidency!!
Jedi looks pregnant...
I never understood how this show is on the air . I would assume the audience at this time period is stay at home moms who probably are more conservatives ?
It's simple, trumpists are weak and ironically, they get offended as quick as a sjw
GAG !COLBERT, WHOOPI, JOY . . .THE TRILOGY . . .PERSONALLY, I FIND ALL THREE SICKENING!
Keep speaking the truth Stephen Colbert. Comedians are one of the only ways the truth gets past Trump's "Fake News" BS.
LOVE stephen colbert and more when says the TRUE!
How can you be so disrespectful to your Country by saying your President,...
whoopi looks like a monster
Sounds like Bush looking for weapons of mass destruction after de-stabliising the middle east.
These classless pigs need to go away
Simple logic here. If the same thing was said about Obama and his family, people would be fined and fired, protests would be happening all over America, rioting and looting would be going on everywhere, BLM would be marching on Washington, etc. These liberals are over-aged, hypocritical immature bullies. Period. Oh and I am not a Trump supporter either. I'm just speaking the truth here. I don't like Trump, but he's our President, so I go to work and get on with life. Also this is obviously an abuse on the freedom of speech. People like Colbert really shouldn't be talking like that. It's disgusting. He should grow up, be a man, call up the President and sincerely apologize for what he said. But that will never happen, which sets a very bad example for America.
It was distasteful rant, yet a Constitutional Right to free speech. And I am a Trump Supporter. If the very bitter has been and wannabe actresses of the View would take a few deep breaths and calm themselves, they would find out Trump Supporters BELIEVE in the Constitution. Yet it is not the liberal way to actually consider different opinions. So, I will simply LOL at their out of control, hair on fire, spastic attempts to impeach a President that will be in office for at least 4 years, maybe more. What will they do if he gets reelected? That will be something to see....
This show is a disgrace. They ignore biased liberal vile and vulgar actions but go nuts grasping at straws to guilt any and all republicans and Christians if they think the can find a way to disparage them. This show especially Whoopi, Sunny and Joy are 3 of the most rude people. They are rude and they have selective memory and selective outrage. God help take this show off the air, it is trash.
Bad taste maybe, but who cares!
1st amendment except for liable, slander, and if it causes mass destruction (forgot how they phrase the last part in the Con).
for the people who were offended by it good!!! deal with it.
You should really listen to jokes of U.K. Comedians, this was harmless
Joy must be high if she really doesn't feel that referring to the mouth of the President of the United States of America as a "cockholster" is a dirty joke. She is actually comparing this to something that was said, and apologized for, over 16 years ago.I have no issue with not liking our President. But for a group of people who seem to take offense at every word that comes out of our President's mouth, they seem pretty protective when the shoe is on the other foot. These people talk about not being fired for what one says and hide behind the first amendment, yet I dare any of them to call their boss a "cockholster" and not suffer consequences. Yet Bill Oreilly was fired for referring to Maxine Waters' hair as a "James Brown wig."Where was the outcry then?Just because you can say something, doesn't mean that you should.
Freedom of Speech = I might not like or agree with what you say, but i will defended to the death to give you the right to say it
I don't think his insults were political but they disrespected the office of The Presidency Of The United States Of America and offended over 62 million people and he should be fired for disrespecting the President and 62 million Americans.......
#FuckTrump, #TrumpTrash, #FuckTrumpFaggotSupporters
These fucking Liberal hens are hard to stomach
Colbert, the View, CNN, NBC, MSNBC, ABC, BBC, Kimmel, Seth Myers, etc. etc. they are al part of the same vile and stinking cesspool of angry and obnoxious morons
He hurt Trump and Putin's feelings with Freedom of speech... He's a true American. <3 SC
woop is crude and not funny
0:36-The joke here is that Colbert has nothing.Colbert's vulgarity was written, rehearsed, and purposely aired by his network to hurt America.Trump was deceived.Listen closely to what these paid deceivers say and understand why. They couldn't care less about us, the people that put Trump in office. They act offended at Trump's private words, yet act like saints. Not much integrity on the View unless it is from a guest.
When did Whoopi G. become a political rain man
Only Republicans get fired, or resign, or recuse themselves.
i like all the late night shows and except this crap show with brainless women
The only thing Colbert is guilty of is being a liberal puppet for the past decade. That and not being funny.
The hypocrisy is unreal ...... ''we have first amendment rights in this country,' but not when Milo Yiannopoulos or anyone else you don't like speaks...... ''speech is not an act'' but it is when trump is recorded saying something you don't like 10 years ago...... these people are jokes.
Are you sure, Joy? I'm pretty sure there were people upset with both. Moron.
gays are not offended ,they are smarter than that, !!GREAT COLBERT!!! , SOME PEOPLE WANT IT TO LOOK THAT WAY , BUT IS NOT!!
agent orange mocked a disabled person on national television. Impeach!
wow...if anyone offered a halfway decent argument against colbert..its the woman in the white jacket. touche.personally i thought what colbert said was cold blooded and justified after the history trump had with his garbage and fail to see how it was homophobic? I thought being homophobic meant you were afraid of homosexuals?
I loved it. Joke of the year.
wow the view is racist now
Well said...Thank you LADIES!
Imagine the outrage from liberals if someone did that joke about obama.
Aw - Poor little snowflake Trump. Did he get his feewings hurt? That's okay... Soon people like Colbert will no longer be free to speak out against our orange messiah on television.
The lesson to learn from this, the right should never apologize for saying anything, especially when its true! Liberals can dish it out but sure can't take. Case in point point, Nobel Laureate Tim Hunt told a lame joke about female scientist and was fired and he was not the only one. So the Left can stick there hypocrisy up their butts!www.theguardian.com/education/2015/jun/11/nobel-laureate-sir-tim-hunt-resigns-trouble-with-girls-comments
Did I just hear this argument correctly? Preface: I am a lifelong Colbert watcher, and an independent voter who supports our current sitting president, and what his position stands for. Ok, so these women are really saying that speech or saying something is "not an act", "its a joke", that President Trump "created this environment". Lunacy. Simply stated, this type of dialogue is why us in the center will never take another media pundit seriously. Say what ever you want to fit your narrative, but if that was said by a Fox News reporter about The View's precious previous president Mr. Obama, these SAME WOMEN would have been arguing on the side of the isle saying that person should be fired. President Trump did not create this environment. He fed its narrative. This environment will continue to exist long after he is gone. Colbert spoke in a manner that is demeaning towards two heads of state. He could have used many jokes, most of which are written for him, to get his point across. He should be held responsible for his ACTions.
Colbert sure does like to spend time with John Podesta - shell I call Stephen an American Jimmy Saville - it's joke Sephen,no offence. Like your pizza with extra cheese - you know what kind don't you?
I sadly believe that Trump will end up like the Jello Pudding guy.
Trump wants to FIRE everyone. Read the filthy tweets the Trump Christians write. Stephen Colbert just said what most sane people are thinking, and made it funny. Don't put me in jail for laughing.
How do you defend being a homophobe in this day and age?
I still can't believe people bought his act and voted for him.
Laura Evenhouse the constant hysterical triggering he's constantly causing has made it more than worth it.
Stephen basically apologized for the crude way he said it, but not for what he ment. Trump is rude and crude and a jerk, ask anyone who knows him. He ripped people off at his joke of a college, and had to pay a settlement. He declared bankruptcy screwing the people who worked for him His 3rd wife (God bless her, poor soul) was a nude model. He ripped people off, poor working people.
The reason they want him fired is because of O'reilly they think that one 'vulgar' joke is the same as many accusations f sexual assault so as one of them were fired they think someone on the 'left' should be fired so they can go 'See they are just as bad'. Pathetic.
So if a late night comedian decides to lampoon the idiots of the View and make lewd comments about them in his presentation, that's okay too?
Stephen, we are at that stage where much of the nation reacts like children. And there are so many reasons why...
fomalhaut they'll call him a nazi and then proceed to smash windows, flip trash cans and yell a bunch of rehashed boring chants about trump and the kkk or whatever is triggering them.
What about Don Imus? Liberals can only take crude jokes as long as it is a Conservative who gets made fun of.
Why does he even need to justify himself? It is a joke, people should get over it and if they don't like him , just change the channel
But you can not say certain things that are considered nasty according to the FCC
Is that why ya'll want the President fired cause he hurt your feelings
colbert should be careful after spending time at jeffrey epstein's pedophile island.
Conservatives getting butt hurt over a late night comedian's joke while a pussy grabber is in the White House. I guy who made very weird sexual comments about his daughter and constantly insulted his way to the presidency by making crude, childish insults against every one who criticizes him ... calls Hillary an enabler and Bill a sex predator ... said Hillary was shlunged by Obama ...GTFO!
Thank you, Joy, for pointing out the joke wasn't aimed at homosexuality, but specifically Trump's relationship with Putin.
Trump's working on that first amendment thing. When he's done you won't be able to criticize him.
Funny...all I see is the leftist trying to squash free speech. Or is it normal to destroy a town every time conservative speakers come to talk?
They only wanted Colbert fired because they lost one of their "tried to be funny but it was a racial comment" broadcasters, O'Reilly.
God you people are STUPID!!!! You're comparing what Trump said behind closed doors in confidentiality with no more than 1-2 more people and what this IDIOT Colbert said on live TV!? You american morons are going to ride your first amendment into the ground. Good luck halfwits! I'm not a trump supporter and not even american but even I think what you're doing to your president is despicable. You people are losing the plot! I hope Colbert gets a huge fine if not lose his job entirely.
I highly doubt his days are numbered, he's actually doing pretty successful on the lefts PoV. His job is to make people laugh, and clearly, it worked for some people. Comedy is subjective, and there actually on the rise. You have to be on something to believe that what he said actually was him supporting homophobia. Not to mention the fact that you probably should put the most fucking powerful person in the world at higher standards than a satire comedian... you'd hope at least.
Intensified Failure I detect a note of sarcasm in your comment but regardless the two are vastly different. First off colbert was on a different level in terns of vulgarity and he did it in front of millions. Trump did it in confidentiality with no more than a couple more people. Finally it is indeed locker room talk, guys do talk like this among each other and the profanity is meaningless. What colbert did was unforgivable. Integrity and character level of -100. Comedians these days have lost the plot. They think it's funny to use profanity like it's nothing because it's a "joke" in front of a national audience no less. Problem is Colbert is as funny as a plank of wood particularly as of late when his jokes seem to revolve around the same subject matter. I mean how many times are you gonna joke about Trump/Putin till it stops being funny. Tell you what it stopped being funny a long time ago, Colbert seems to have missed the memo and dug himself further into his comedic grave. Cultural trends survive only if they are inderpinned by logic and substance. Political comedians of this ilk will disappear as quickly as they surfaced. Colbert's days are numbered.
You're right,A joke in front of an audience is SO much worse better than bragging about your sexual advances to your mate. What great integrity you must have to do such a thing!
free speech for All americans. deal with colberts jokes or plug ur ears ,snowflake.
#NEVERDEMOCRATThe Democratic Party is over. They shouldn't have screwed Bernie over.
Comedians take chances with humor, wording, & hopefully even to make a point. (Joy Behar made the important point regarding that!) Colbert has been great to watch since the election, so one off?- ah, par for the course in the risks a comedian takes on using humor in different ways. No big deal. He's a comedian.
Maktoom Gulf Mafia cclub vs Ayat Allah SWT Khalifa Aaed Enaya UE Peace NOW. Welcome i love u 4
"Degradation of public discourse" Well said! Trump supporters in particular are incapable of intelligent, literate, civilized debate and it reveals a side of America that is very disturbing.
Whoopi and that name is queer!! anyway she talks about the first amendment free speech but if I called her an ugly crazy N----- R she would not defend my right on that even if I said it as a joke. by the way ,I do not use that word because if is offensive to the black race. I also won't use the term African American neither. so don't render evil for evil folks you will end up like the woen on the view which is really an oxymoronic show.
ah yes the view please move to Russia with the other bitch's see I won't use the C word because it is wrong appropriate no see if a conservative said this you would be shitting your self.
Stephen makes jokes. If all the celebrities would get together and use all their resources to actually make America great , I would care about what he says. We have to suffer under Trump's policies. Rich people don't! So people are talking about a joke I have no clue about. So Trump says idiotic things. It's who he is. He knows saying anything controversial will gain media attention. To stoop to Trump's level does not make anything better. It shows the power he has over others to anger them. The greatest power we have is to ignore. Stephen will probably get a little more attention now and we will all continue to see our wages stay stagnant while he becomes richer. Time to spend your money on helping others in your towns and cities and cutting off the funding to make these celebrities who talk and don't provide any service to society richer.
If the humor seems in poor taste then simply choose to Not see movies at the Cinema because most late night guests are on the show to promote their latest movie or show.
There is also another part of the story that nobody is reporting on...It's a little know fact that Stephen Colbert himself is a sufferer of lock jaw (so he's not thinking straight these days- no pun intended) Here's what happened:Stephen Colbert AND Jimmy Kimmel long ago signed a contract whereby they must use their very own mouths as c*** holsters for Hillary Clintons "member"....so I think that this bad joke came from a real life experience...and maybe its a cry for help???!!But since they have sold their souls and succumbed to living the remainder of their lives on their knees; they are no longer capable of reading the pulse of the American People SO they don’t realize that they have totally JUMPED THE SHARK!Its okay to have a political opinion if you're a celebrity but really all we want is for you to entertain us...that’s your role....when you cross that line, you brake a trust and what that manifests into is The Fonze from Happy Days on water skis JUMPING a great white SHARK!
You.. uh... do realize the elections over and you WON? Stop complaining about others peoples opinion and try to improve the country while you can, considering dems are basically guaranteed to overrun the senate in 2018.
I've watched Colbert's monologue every single night that his program has been on, for quite some time now. I didn't like his old program on Comedy Central at all, but he's been excellent IMHO, ever since he succeeded David Letterman as the host of The Late Show. I've frequently had to LOL and nearly ROFL at his biting, occasionally acerbic, and unfailing skewering of Trump's incompetent and dangerous pomposity. That said, I personally was shocked, offended, angry and disappointed in Colbert's clearly homophobic comments. I don't think that he is necessarily a homophobe in his heart, but he ought to do some serious introspection and realize what he should have known before he made those remarks on live TV. It's especially troubling to me that he did it in the context of his stated intent that night. He was speaking directly to President Trump as he looked into the camera and told the president that because he insulted a friend of Colbert, he was going to return the favor and insult Trump. He then set off on a series of sometimes funny, sometimes not, deliberate insults, which overall seemed to me to be treading a fine line, and I am clearly not a fan of Donald Trump in any way. But when Colbert delivered what he obviously intended as his coup de grâce insult to Trump, he dived deep into the cesspool of homophobia's darkest pejoratives and came up with the worst of the worst homophobic epithets possible, and hurled it with a vengeance toward Trump with disdain for his perceived subservience to Putin. He got a big laugh from the studio audience, but absolutely not from me. It felt like a knife had been thrust into my heart; a feeling I’ve felt so often, from childhood to present day. I grew up in the 50s and 60s as a gay person who was closeted for self-preservation in an era when homophobia was not only acceptable, it was state-sponsored. I was well into adulthood in my mid 20s before Illinois became the first state to repeal laws that made consensual sex between two persons of the same gender a felony, punishable by imprisonment in some cases up to life. One of the most painful things for me emotionally, as far back as elementary school days, was whenever a friend would casually make the same homophobic remark that Colbert made. It was always made with contempt and disgust for the sexual act that it referenced as a pejorative. It wasn’t intentionally directed at me. It never was. With only a couple of exceptions, no one knew I was gay until I outed myself in my early 30s to keep my sanity and essentially tell the world, “Hey, I’m gay. Get over it!” I know that my thoughts and sensitivity to the comments Colbert made, aren’t shared by everyone, or even by many other gays. Words have meanings and words matter. Colbert’s remarks were aimed at Trump. He missed his target and broke my heart instead. Should Colbert be fired for it? No, absolutely not.
Although I disagree with your opinion on how homophobic his comment is, that's the great thing about America.
As a conservative I am 100 percent backing his comments for free speech. However, liberals need to back free speech too. Not only when they agree with it. This is what oue country is all about.
reviewmaster007 oh the liberal hatred never ends; guaranteeing 8 yrs more
agreed , i heard bad things about obama, now u guys have to hear bad things for trump. deal with it.
double standards from the SJWs
u seem to be sjw who is whining here. colbert can say what he wants , deal with or move to russia, traitor.
